With summer being right around the corner, you’re probably busier than ever! Whether you’re running from shoot to shoot, heading back from a music festival, or just a busy parent; there’s a good chance your body is screaming for a little back up. After all, being on the go doesn’t always allow you to follow a healthy diet. Here are a few detox smoothie recipes Chriselle and I love to sip on when we’re shooting together or simply hanging out and catching up!
We like detox smoothies because it’s a great way to fight off the toxins that may affect your body’s ability to burn fat naturally and also strengthens your immune system. If you know you’re going to have a busy weekend brunching with the ladies, try detoxing a few days during the week! Your body will get the nutrients it needs and you’ll feel recharged. Sticking to a detox diet can be difficult, so make it fun and get a friend involved with you! It’ll make lunch time less tempting to hit up that café around the corner from the office.
Green Protein Detox Smoothie
½ cup unsweetened almond milk
1 tablespoon almond butter
2 cups mixed greens (I like kale, chard and spinach)
Glowing Green Detox Smoothie
2 celery stalks
2 cups spinach
1 cup water
Apple Berry Detox Smoothie
1 cup mixed berries (like raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries)
1 large apple
2 cups spinach
1 cup water (or unsweetened almond milk)
