When celebrity stylist Sonia Young Gets Married at Calamigos Ranch, you know that the guest list is going to be amazing and the fashion will be even better! Y’all!! There is so much goodness in this wedding so I am just going to dive right in so you can get to scrolling through the photos!

Sonia Young is an amazing celebrity stylist here on the West Coast and I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to shoot her wedding day. So, if you’re like me and you love fashion (and Hannah Brown) you are going to flip over this wedding day! And PS: be sure to catch the amazing gown that Maika Monroe wore!

For her big day, Sonia had a unique and modern take on the way that many of the details would play out. She and her now-husband Colt decided that they would forgo a first look and see each other for the first time that day at the altar. Also, they each had their own hand-selected song to walk down the aisle to. With Colt’s processional set to “Bittersweet Symphony” by Vitamin String Quartet, and Sonia coming down the aisle to “Sussudio” by Phil Collins. Sonia wanted to start her wedding day off full of energy and she knew that this tune by Phil Collins would absolutely accomplish that!

Sonia & Colt’s ceremony was officiated by Sonia’s friend and the bride and groom added in a Celtic handfasting ritual. The bride loved the idea of having a tangible item from their wedding ceremony to one day show their children and the handfasting cord is now displayed in their home.

Dying to hear about the gowns, yes two, that Sonia wore on her wedding day?! A traditional wedding dress just wasn’t going to cut it. Sonia had a very specific vision for her wedding day gown and for that she went to famed bridal designer Monique Lhuillier. The bride was looking for a big dress full of life so she could have a “tulle moment”. The gown she found at Monique Lhuillier was taken over by Sonia’s team to create a custom design by removing colored beading and adding in all-the-layers! It was nothing short of gorgeous when it was complete and Sonia was an absolutely stunning bride! For the second half of her dreamy wedding day at Calamigos Ranch, Sonia changed into a romantic off-the-shoulder Galia Lahav dress.

Sonia and Colt spent the night among their loving family and adoring friends before their late-night Happy Meals arrived. Yes, really! but you’ll have to scroll through to see!
