I Heart Mondays is all about this girl!
Happy I Heart Mondays y'all! I am just obsessed with Jamie Chung's style I get inspired every time we shoot. She has this effortless cool chic thing going on and I totally dig it. On top of all that she has an amazing eye. Jamie suggested we shoot this look at LACMA. When you think of the LACMA you think of the lamppost see here also here is a shoot from a while back I did with one of my favorite people on the planet Chriselle Lim at Lacma.
Jamie wanted to do something different, I LOVE that! Look at the full gallery to see the really cool space we used that is full of lines! Always looking for lines. Stair cases, palm tress, amazing ceilings. I have said it so many times and I will say it again, I learn something new every single time I pick up my camera. I encourage you to shoot as often as possible and try something new every time:)
Your feedback means more to me then you know I am so open to hearing your comments the photos. Seriously one of the ways I learn is posting a gallery on my Facebook page and seeing what photos in the gallery get the most likes. It's an awesome way for me to get feedback so THANK YOU!
OH and the super cool fun fact is that Jamie is getting married this month and I am shooting the wedding!!!!! OMG!!! seriously could not be more excited!

EAU DE BEAUTE'
I came back from New York Fashion Week with lots of goodies! I am super into these beauty tonics. You can use them before you put on your moisturizer or any other time of the day you want a little refresh. This one from Caudalie' Paris is like spraying misty sunshine on your face. This elixir is an instant pick me up. Its not as moist as some other sprays I use but this one is very special . The smell alone is amazing. You can order some here.

Ken Paves You are Beautiful
Ken Paves is so cool! He encourages woman to embrace the natural texture of our hair. Personally my hair is curly and for years I have been trying to make it straight. I know my hair would be so much healthier if I just let it be at least sometimes:) Ken sells this product online and at several department stores including Walmart. So accesible and cool. His message is that (...)
Wedding Wednesday: Weddings & Fashion Photography Whats my favorite?
Happy Wedding Wednesday ya'll! As I head off to New York this morning for New York Fashion Week I want to take a minute to answer a question that people ask me all of the time. " Jana, what do you like photographing more Weddings or Fashion" My answer has always been so very clear to me. I not only love being a fashion & Wedding photographer but I need to be a fashion and a wedding photographer. Shooting fashion makes me a better wedding photographer. There always seems to be an editorial romantic feelings to my weddings. My eyes and mind would not be as open to different shots during the wedding if I did not shoot fashion on a consistent basis. The same goes for my fashion work. My specific style of lifestyle fashion would not have its effortless romantic touch if I did not shoot weddings on a consistent basis. It is what I have done since the beginning. My first paid job as a photographer was working in-house for Ford models then quickly I was photographing weddings and it has never changed. Its like this perfect balance that feeds my soul and keeps my fresh for my next shoot. I am so very lucky to be able in love with both Fashion and Wedding photography and I see myself shooting both for a long time:) Fashion week is fun it inspires me and Im lucky to be able to attend. I wish you all could come and you should if you have the desire:) follow along on snapchat Janaw and Instagram to see BTS of Fashion week !
I also want to say thank you to each one of you who take the time to read my blog and comment and support me on insta and Facebook. I appreciate deeply. Thank you for letting me share what I love with you. Hopefully you get some inspiration and some photography tips as well. Mucho love friends!

Red lips and denim
Jamie Chung is the essence of cool. Seriously like a super cool person. I think she expresses herself amazingly through her fashion. Classy yet edgy, total trendsetter and Sexy without trying. I love working with her. An artist who knows themselves is so fun to play with :)
See outfit details below!
I used my preset to edit these photos and because its fashion not weddings I made them more contrast and the shadows darker.

Daytime Sequins
SO I got this Parker Sequin top to wear in Paris and it never happened. I thought it would look great with these high waisted slacks and it just didn't work. Back in La I paired with with these boyfriend jeans from Urban and loved it! Totally perfect for the quick shoot I had before meeting Dave for an early dinner. Life is short wear the sequins:)
I hope you have an amazing Saturday. I am going to do some reorganizing in the studio and then I have a boudoir shoot which I am super excited about.
Be thankful, be blessed, and kiss the one you love.

Jamie Chung in the perfect little black dress for summer
I love working with Jamie. She has a super tight schedule I amen this woman is a powerhouse. The most down to earth cool powerhouse i know but no doubt a powerhouse. So we don't always get to shoot int the most ideal light, For this shoot my iso was at 100 , shutter, 325, ap 2.0. I edited this images with this preset ( onside for the month of August) After applying the preset I take highlight down and shadows up maybe warm it on depending on the feel we want.
