Baby Mace
Newborn baby photos are some of the most intimate sessions. All things are new in the world of mom + dad + baby. As the photographer I know that we can’t predict how the day will go. Will the baby be having a good day or maybe be feeling a little fussy? Will baby give us a little smile or open his eyes? I think the best way to approach these shoots are with compassion for the family and the baby. When I photograph babies I try to put a time frame together for the shoot but it doesn’t always work out that way. For instance, if the baby is crying and needs to eat then, by all means, let’s make that happen and not stress about it. It baby is feeling a little fussy, I say let’s give it some time. I know that with a patient and loving attitude we will get those amazing photos that tell the story of a blessed new family.
This is baby Mace. His mom and dad, Ali + Max, are two of my favorite humans. I photographed their wedding a few years ago and the experience was unforgettable. I was so happy to come to their home and photograph Mace. The day was so smooth and sweet. Mace is an angle and I left this shoot feeling so much love.
I think my favorite image is Max holding Mace in his hand. The perspective shows how tiny little Mace is and I know one day when he looks at these images it will blow his mind how itty bitty he was.
I would describe my style of newborn photography as natural, organic, and real.
If you are questioning to have a newborn session I would say Absolutely! They are only newborns once and they grow so fast.
If you want to keep browsing I suggest checking out this Trendsetting wedding I photographed recently at Ojai Valley Inn. It will knock your socks off!
