Tika Sumpter and her fiance Nicholas James are effortlessly chic, stylish beyond words, and above all, insanely in love!

If you find yourself asking where it is you recognize this beautiful soul from, it might just be from the family comedy film Sonic the Hedgehog (and its sequel!). Or maybe you recognize Tika from her role as a young Michelle Obama in the rom-com Southside With You.

But, undeniably, when you see Tika and Nicholas side by side, it’ll click that you recognize the beautiful couple from their co-starring roles together on The Haves and The Have Nots. I guess you could say that the couple had a bit of a workplace romance, after meeting one another during their time together on the Tyler Perry Production. How much do you love that?!

I always go into an engagement photoshoot ready to capture my couple’s love story so they can look back on it for a lifetime. But for Tika and Nicholas, it went even deeper than that! During their shoot, I drew on the passion and tenderness that exists between them. It was so evident in the way they interacted with each other, especially in those coveted moments in between.

We played around with the versatility of their engagement photoshoot with three different wardrobe changes. You’ll get to see a bit of the couple’s fun adventurous side, their romantic side, and that effortlessly chic thing that they have down!

Since shooting this session, Tika Sumpter and Nicholas James have since tied the knot, with their sweet daughter by their side! You can catch a glimpse of their wedding day, including Tika’s strapless Galia Lahav bridal gown on PEOPLE!
