My review on Birchbox the monthly Beauty Subscribtion
I am writting this reveiw 3 months into my subscribtions to Birchbox. Honestly I wasn’t totally excited about it at first becasoue I assumed I would be getting random products each month but that is not the case at ALL!
Birchbox is a monthly skincare, makeup, and hair product subscribtion. $10.00 a month or $120.00 a year. When you subscribe you fill out a questionare with details abotu your skin, hair, makeup style. It’s very cutomozed.
Personally I am into beauty products but I am also pretty conservative. I am the type of gal who finds the products that work for me and stick to them. Mostly because I have a demanding job as a photographer, I’m a wife, a stepmom and of course I have a fury son, Bugsy:)
So I am not looking at the latest products or spending hours at Sephora. ( I wish) for that reason Birchbox is perfect fro me! My to 3 products so far have been..
Milk Makeup lipgloss and bluch in one. It the grey stick above that has the label worn off. I LOVE it.
The Klorane eye makeup remover is like nothing I have tried. As a photographer I am constanly holding my camera to my eye and my eye makeup is a mess so I wear waterproof mascara and eyeliner. This product take s it right off no hard rubbing.
I was recently was in Paris for work and one asignment was to research the best French beauty products and photograph them for an online magazine. Av’ene was a french favorite and what to do ya know it came in my November Box!
I am gifting my sister and 2 good girlfreinds with a year subscribtion for Chrsitmas. Have you used Birchbox? What did you think?
Also I am going to try and show my hair some extra love. Does anyone have a recomendation for a product or an at home treatment that makes blonde hair super shiny?
I would love your feedback!

A mix of Coconut Oil + Raw Honey does wonders to my blonde locks! Massage from root to tip and leave on for at least an hour.
Thank you a million! I will try this today!!!!!
Just wondering… do they do a box for men?
Yup! And I have yours coming!
Jana, I love your posts as always. As for your hair product recommendation, I adore pure jojoba oil, I get mine at Trader Joe’s. Just a little scrunched into my hair and applied to the ends is usually all I do to style my naturally wavy hair. I had a bit of an issue with over-processing blonde and the jojoba really helped add back a super soft texture. For a bit of shine and slickness I like a tiny tiny amount of Moroccan argan oil. The jojoba seems to absorb way better than coconut oil, it’s very light, not greasy. Great for skin too!
Oh good call! I actually have some but never used it for my hair!
Ten bucks per month is a steal!
You should get it! You would LOVE!
Jana,
Thanks for sharing your skirt details!
I have heard about a product called Blonde that was created by two blondes and it apparently is amazing! I am going to try it and I’ll let you know 🙂
Also the Palmers Coco Hair Masque is like 2 dollars and its awesome!
