A Moment to Be Thankful
Hey ya’ll, Thanksgiving is finally here! As I sit here in Florida with Dave and our family, I reflect on what has been really important to me and has kept me working so hard this year. From the bottom of my heart, I want to say THANK YOU to each and every one of you! (Yeah, you over there!) We may or may not know each other personally but your constant support truly means the world to me. We are a community and I love everyone’s desire to encourage each other to grow!
Being thankful doesn’t have to be because of one or two big events in your life. It’s the little things that are with you along for the ride to those great events! With that said, I want to share a few other things I have been SO thankful for this year.
First on the list, COFFEE. The fuel that keeps us going! More importantly, when my alarm goes off in the wee hours of the morning it’s my chance to sit with a hot cup of Joe and take in the peacefulness over the city of Los Angeles.
Have ya’ll used Audible?! (This is not an ad, just something I really love!) Maybe you can relate; being on the go as much as I am doesn’t leave much time to pick up a physical book. Once I discovered Audible I was so excited because I love getting lost in a great story and I can listen while running between meetings or shoots! My go-to books are biographies, I LOVE to hear about another’s struggles and triumphs because it’s so inspiring!
Speaking of an inspiration, I’m so thankful for my girl Oprah! Ok, so I don’t actually know her but she is a continuing source of inspiration for me. Her gratitude towards healthy living and helping others to be their best selves is truly heartwarming.
Every so often I just need a good cry. It’s good for you, good to release any built up emotions. For this reason that is why I am internally grateful for the show “This is Us” and their writers. Oh my, it’s one that week after week will pull at every heartstring. The writing is exceptional and makes you feel like you are apart of the Pearson family! Thank you NBC, THANK YOU!
For the days I want to feel and look my best and for the days where I don’t want to try that hard I am thankful for things such as dry shampoo, hats, spray tans, and yoga pants. Again, being on the go doesn’t always allow time to wash my hair every day or keep up with a natural tan. These little conveniences make me so much more thankful the mornings I have a laundry list of things to finish by 10am!
Whether it’s cliché or not, this Thanksgiving take time to say thanks to those who are along for the ride of life with you! I love journaling so I can go back later down the road and see what has changed and how I’ve grown over time. This year, make a list of what you’re thankful for and come back to it next year. It’ll be fun to look back on every year!
Happy Thanksgiving!

I am a beginner in photography and learning how to use manual mode. I am so grateful for your you tube clips, regarding the triangle ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed. They were great. I’m still a bit confused, yet can’t wait to see more tips. You are a great photographer. Thank you for posting your clips on you tube. I look forward to learning more.
