E-Sessions as Unique as You
No two relationships are the same, each has their unique qualities and quirks. When the time comes and your partner has popped “the question” and you’ve begun thinking about your engagement photos; why would you want anything less than unique?! The 90’s have called and they want their overly posed photos back! (We’ve all seen them!) Here are a few things to keep in mind to make your e-session as unique as you.
One trend that has taken like a wildfire is “at home” engagement sessions, and it’s honestly one of my favorite things to shoot! This is a fun idea because years down the road when you look back at the images you’ll be able to remember where you both came from and how you were at that moment in time. Having your e-session at home will also help put nerves at ease since you’ll be in a familiar environment! It’ll allow you to show off your silly or even sensual side and not feel like you have onlookers! If you want to see more about “at home” e-sessions, click here to see my previous blog post.
When it comes to your e-session, this is a time to show your love with each other. It’s important to capture those natural interactions because let’s face it, you probably don’t stand around a wooded area in the “prom pose” on a regular basis and it wouldn’t be real! Here’s a simple tip for the guys, whisper that thing in her ear that always makes her laugh. That way you look back only the two of your know what was so funny! When choosing a location is there a local park you both enjoy going to or do you share the same love for the beach? You can turn this into a little outing and set up a picnic and have your photographer simply document your day!
What I’m trying to say is, don’t forget to make your engagement session fun, make your e-session as unique as you! This is going to let the viewer have a look into your life rather than show an overly posed and forced smile because your nerves are working against you. Find something that is special to the both of your and it will help get rid of those butterflies in your stomach!
