Mindy and Arik Armstead said I do at one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Southern California, Kestrel Park. I will never forget when I got the call about this wedding. I was in Alabama visiting family due to covid 19 shutting down the wedding industry. Mindy + Arik’s wedding was my first Covid Wedding of 2020.   They originally planned to get married in Italy and had made adjustments so they could still have a wedding.  I don’t think one vendor knew what to expect. We all knew our first priority was doing everything we could to make this wedding day the absolute best it could be. Obviously, all vendors wore a mask, tried to socially distance, + sanitize non-stop while at the same time doing everything that is needed on a wedding day. Honestly, after the first few hours, the mask wasn’t an issue for me, I was so focused on what I was doing I totally forgot about having it on. I was worried that needing to be six feet apart from my clients was going to make it hard to direct and pose them. But ya’ll these were just small obstacles to overcome and it was much easier than I expected.

Mindy + Arik’s wedding was an absolute dream. When she walked down the aisle with her father everyone gasped. You can see Arik’s reaction in this post it totally made me cry. The setting for the ceremony was literally magical, cocktail hour felt like we were transported to a 19th-century style English garden.   Dinner was set up outside on one long table in front of the castle on the grounds. My favorite part of the night was the speeches. They were emotional, funny, sincere, and heartfelt.
