Madrid for a Day
Hey ya’ll! If you happen to follow me on Instagram (@janawilliamsphotos_) you’ve seen that I’m in BEAUTIFUL Santorini, Greece! Last week when Dave and I started our journey to the Greek Islands, we had a long layover in Madrid. Rather than wasting 10 hours in the airport we decided to hop out to do a little exploring of this amazing city! With coffees in our hands we set out to take in the sites of Malasana Barrio, strolled around Retiro Park, and hopped in a rowboat in the Retiro Pond to see the city from the water. Wifi has been spotty but I wanted to finally share a little of Madrid with all of you! One day I definitely want to make it back to Madrid and spend more than a day! The trip started off with a simple text from my dad, who isn’t always the most sentimental person, when I boarded the plane reminding me that he loved me and to have fun because these are the best times in my life. Recieving that text from my dad reminded me even though I’m going for work that it’s important to take time and enjoy the moment with Dave. And boy, I’m glad I did! This trip was a blessing!
