My review on Birchbox the monthly Beauty Subscribtion

2016-11-03_0001.jpg

I am writting this reveiw 3 months into my subscribtions to Birchbox. Honestly I wasn’t totally excited about it at first becasoue I assumed I would be getting random products each month but that is not the case at ALL!

Birchbox is a monthly skincare, makeup, and hair product subscribtion. $10.00 a month or $120.00 a year. When you subscribe you fill out a questionare with details abotu your skin, hair, makeup style. It’s very cutomozed.

Personally I am into beauty products but I am also pretty conservative. I am the type of gal who finds the products that work for me and stick to them. Mostly because I have a demanding job as a photographer, I’m a wife, a stepmom and of course I have a fury son, Bugsy:)

So I am not looking at the latest products or spending hours at Sephora. ( I wish) for that reason Birchbox is perfect fro me! My to 3 products so far have been..

The Klorane eye makeup remover is like nothing I have tried. As a photographer I am constanly holding my camera to my eye and my eye makeup is a mess so I wear waterproof mascara and eyeliner. This product take s it right off no hard rubbing.

I am gifting my sister and 2 good girlfreinds with a year subscribtion for Chrsitmas. Have you used Birchbox? What did you think?

Also I am going to try and show my hair some extra love. Does anyone have a recomendation for a product or an at home treatment that makes blonde hair super shiny?

I would love your feedback!

  1. A mix of Coconut Oil + Raw Honey does wonders to my blonde locks! Massage from root to tip and leave on for at least an hour.

  2. Jana, I love your posts as always. As for your hair product recommendation, I adore pure jojoba oil, I get mine at Trader Joe’s. Just a little scrunched into my hair and applied to the ends is usually all I do to style my naturally wavy hair. I had a bit of an issue with over-processing blonde and the jojoba really helped add back a super soft texture. For a bit of shine and slickness I like a tiny tiny amount of Moroccan argan oil. The jojoba seems to absorb way better than coconut oil, it’s very light, not greasy. Great for skin too!

  3. Jana,

Thanks for sharing your skirt details!

I have heard about a product called Blonde that was created by two blondes and it apparently is amazing! I am going to try it and I’ll let you know 🙂
Also the Palmers Coco Hair Masque is like 2 dollars and its awesome!

    XOXO

  4. You have a plethora of typos in your whole blog post. Might want to read over the post again and fix them!
