I’ve always loved the tradition of the wedding cake. It’s a really fun part of the reception but more than that it’s actually a really cool tradition that has been done since ancient roman times, but they used bread instead of cake. Breaking bread over the bride’s head was supposed to bring good fortune to the couple. I think it’s awesome that we still honor this tradition today!

When you design your wedding cake you have the opportunity to get creative and personal. It should reflect the couple and their style. And of course it should taste delicious too!

Here are a few wedding cakes I’ve shot over this past year, all unique and beautiful!  I did not have a wedding so I didn’t get to cut a cake but if I did I would want some cake on my face and a big messy kiss! Ha!
