Bored with your workout? Try this

This is THE best time to be fit! There really is a workout for everyone, spinning, yoga, boot camps, and running or hiking clubs. Once you find something that works it may be hard to find the motivation to switch to something new, but here are a few reasons why it’s a good idea to mix it up:

  1. Growth happens when you challenge yourself. If your workout starts to become easy then you may stop seeing the changes you did when you first started working out. Might be time to rotate it a different workout that maybe works different muscle groups. If you’re doing a lot of cardio, maybe try yoga or pilates.
  2. Variety is the spice of life! If you ate the same thing every day you’d get bored and probably not want to eat it after awhile. Working out is great for your mental and physical health, but you don’t want it to feel like a chore. So when you start to feel like it’s the same old thing day in and day out, change it up!
  3. Your body needs a break. Sometimes your workout might be too difficult to handle when you have a pulled muscle or just aren’t feeling well. There are a lot of exercises you can do that don’t put as much stress on your body. Yoga is so beneficial not just for your body, but your mental well being as well. And if you’re feeling pain you can modify the poses so that you don’t hurt yourself further.

Those are my tips on how and why you should mix up your workout!

Stay Inspired!
